Traditionally a market town Boyle’s retail sector continues to provide
opportunities for sustainable employment. Several of the larger independent
traders are second and third generation businesses.
The town’s scenic location
has in recent years led to growth and job creation in the tourism and leisure
activity sectors. There is a full range of Professional, Health and Financial
services available in the town providing sustainable indigenous
employment. Growth in the National and local economy has in recent years led to

services. Roscommon County Council recently acquired 40 acres of land
zoned industrial at the perimeter of the town for development as a business and
